Welcome to the Working Week.

So Monday is pretty much over. Day one of the new working week has closed and I'm very happy. Fleshed out a major chunk of the new comic I keep teasing you guys about. I cannot wait to unleash it on you guys. I really can't. As soon as pages 1-12 are lettered, I'll post them on here. Trust.

The Saturday event at Isotope with Geoff Johns was amazing. Once again James Sime, owner of Isotope, threw an amazing event. The entire staff was just awesome.

Geoff is a really nice guy. I asked him a bunch of questions on writing and he answered all of them. Really simple, insightful stuff. It was great.

That's pretty much it for today. I'm tired. Working week has made me sleepy... :)

A special BOOM to Jeremy Morgan!

Good Sunday to you all! Last week marked a special series of posts for me and my work. And to top it off I was able to share my collaborative work with my number 1 subject and friend Jeremy Morgan. So this is a special BOOM (thats rudysolis.com lingo for "thanks") to Jeremy for his willing, flexible and relaxed nature that allowed me to get the shots I was looking for during our shoots.

Not only is JM a tremendously talented skater, but he is also a business entreprenuer. He is the owner of Street Science Skate Shop, in Tracy, CA! So if you're in that area or passing through and so happen to dig skate gear, clothing, snowbaords, etc. Then drop by his shop and show your support! Next Saturday, July 18th, Geoff Johns, the one and only amazing DC Comics writer will be at Isotope Comics Lounge right here in San Francisco! For those of you familiar with Geoff Johns, he is the writer behind "Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War," "Action Comics," "Infinite Crisis," and so much more!

The party is celebrating the release of DC latest summer event: "BLACKEST NIGHT!" I urge all comics fans to come and be a part of this awesome event!

7pm-1am. 21+ only. Open bar. The best comic shop in town. What more could you ask for?

I promise you it's good. And I'm walking the line...

So yes, it's official, I'm on twitter. (Or "the twit" I as like to call it.) But trust, it is good! I can literally update my site, facebook, and myspace all with one post. How can you beat such lazy efficiency?

Anyways, so I'm wrapping up Issue 3 of my new comic, while I wait for the publication date of my next comic to be announced (I know as little as you do). Things are going well and William Reyes, my artist, has turned in amazing pages. Just mind blowing really. I actually think I could send just the first 9 pages to any company and we'd get picked up. He is worth the wait and the money. I'm really, really, happy.

In other news, working on this film script with fellow writer Matthew Keuter and boy is it a blast. We're really at the ground floor of this thing right now. We're working on a remake of a very famous (albeit old) property. So we've been looking at all the original comics, serials, and films that have come before in order to educate ourselves on the various interpretations and mythologies that have been established with the characters. This is also my very first chance to walk the line with someone else's franchise. The ever tricky balance of staying true to the original source material while updating and reinvigorating it for today's audience is now landed on my door step. How do I feel we're doing with the balance, you ask? Well I think-
