Thrashing the Thrasher vert ramp!

The real spectacle to admire at Thrasher's Bordertown Benefit was the rippers on the vert ramp. There was some impressive skating going on from the moment I reached the spectator area. Here is a virtual board "SMACK" from me to all that killed it that day! Skate on everyone! Peace.

Mad thanks to Johnny T.!

Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to take this opportunity to thank this man below...John Tott-Berger or Johnny T. This man is a friend, local skater and the person responsible for inviting me to the Thrasher Bordertown Benefit. Thanks again John, had a blast, and yes a game of SKATE we shall play!

If anyone is interested in making a donation, checking the progress, leaving your thoughts, and/or learning the histroy of this new skatepark then head on over here and be part of the cause. Til next time, peace.

Thrasher Bordertown Benefit!

So this past Saturday Thrasher heald a benefit supporting the construction of Bordertown Skatepark a new spot in the works, out in West Oakland, California. It's been a long process but things are coming together over there and all of us skaters will get to reap the benefits soon!

I had the pleasure of attending Thrasher's benefit at their old warehouse in Hunter's Point. A minimum of $10 got you in where you could enjoy 5 live bands, $2 beers and shots, and good company. In addition you could either spectate or partake in the vert ramp session which was pretty dope. I personally don't ride vert so mad respect to all the guys who were ripping and riding!

I donated $20 (which is all I had) and Freddie was nice enough to really hook me up for my contribution (see pics below). Here are a couple of photos more pics of the event coming this week so be sure to check back! See you soon. Huah!

Freddie was one of the hosts! Thanks for the gear man!

PhotobucketMy $20 donation got me a Think deck, Lucky Bearings, Basset Hubba Wheels and Thrasher's "Beers Bowls & Barneys" skate dvd. Lindsay if you could think then you would've gotten some cool gear too.
